As we all might know healthy eating can contribute to weight loss. But there are many benefits other than that to eating healthy foods. Healthy eating helps everyone! Healthy foods help our physical well being. It is said that, “Strength, agility, coordination, endurance, speed, and level of performance are all powered by the foods you eat” (Tomm, 2014). Eating the right things is key to perform your best at an upcoming game or practice. Healthy foods can even enhance looks. They can enhance skin complexion and promote fewer wrinkles. They can also give us a great smile and good bones by strengthening them. Eating healthy can improve almost any aspect of life.

Diseases such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and even cancer can be prevented just by getting the proper nutrients from the healthy foods the world has to offer. Healthy eating contributes to lower cholesterol, blood pressure, and many other health risks that could possibly harm our lives. It has been shown that eating healthy foods has affects of reducing stress, boosting energy, and improving memory. In fact, grabbing an unhealthy snack, “can set you up for depression, anxiety, and mood swings, a recent study has discovered” (Freundlich, 2014). Some energy boosting foods include bananas, almonds, and even water. Whenever you’re dealing with all the stress from schoolwork, athletics, and extracurriculars having yogurt, milk, or even some dark chocolate could help you relax. Brain foods that could improve memory and concentration include blueberries, oatmeal, and sunflower seeds. They could just save you from forgetting that math formula!
