Hey again! I hope your week has been going wonderfully. Today we will be discussing the topic of healthy foods to newcomers/picky eaters. Personally, eating healthy foods has come somewhat easy to me. But I want to help the people who are not so fond of the foods deemed "healthy". So, here are some easy ways to get in some of those healthy foods without even trying! So I will try to help those picky eaters out there to expand their list of liked foods.
One tip to help newcomers eat more healthy foods is to start small. Try something not too far from your comfort zone. Eat a little bit at a time or try to eat something one to two days a week until you feel like you can increase the number of days you are eating a healthy food. For example if you only eat white rice, try substituting some of that with brown rice. Increase the amount of brown rice and decrease your intake of white rice as much as possible until you feel comfortable eating brown rice alone. This doesn't have to be a grueling task. Take as much time as needed to feel accomplished with yourself.
Say you love having your delicious spaghetti, with extra parmesan cheese, every night. To increase the nutritional value of your beautiful pasta, try adding one or two tablespoons of tomato sauce to it. You will barely even notice the difference. You might even like it better! Or, if you love macaroni and cheese, you could add small some amounts of broccoli and chicken every time you eat mac n' cheese. This will help increase your veggie and protein intake while enjoying the foods you love the most.
